Why should I follow this Meal Plan*?

Ancient societies smartly knew that a mother-to-be's diet has a huge influence on the health of her hormones before, during and after pregnancy, as well as being critical for fetus development. This meal plan places an emphasis on healthy animal protein and fat that provides the healthy cholesterol the body needs for proper bone and tissue building, as well as support for proper hormone balance. Fish and shellfish are featured in many of the recipes to provide Omega 3's for healthy brain development. Liver is included to provide a highly absorbable form of folate, critical for fetus development. (Don't worry! We have recipes to make it delicious!) There is also plenty of fiber to feed the microbiome and lots of antioxidant rich veggies.

This meal plan does contain some full fat dairy to provide more calcium during this time of increased need. If you would like to make this meal plan dairy free, you can leave out the cheese or replace any dairy with a coconut or nut alternative. This meal plan is gluten free.
